Study alongside a team of driven & motivated students

The 2021 committee is excited to be continuing the work that has Curtin Marketing Association has achieved in the past: with this year being a special one – the 20th anniversary of CMA!

CMA was founded in 2001, by Professor Ian Phau – the now discipline lead for Marketing at Curtin’s School of Management and Marketing. The club has come an enormous way, with numerous events throughout the years, giving students the opportunity to network with their peers as well as with industry connections.

A word from our 2021 President, Hannah Whittaker.

"CMA is a club with the aim of giving students the confidence to go into industry with skills that are relevant to them (extending from what they learn throughout their degrees), as well as with opportunities to complete internships, work experience and create connections.

In 2021, we have some exciting events planned to meet those goals. With our first event being an industry Panel for students to ask questions, our annual networking event, social events, and skill workshops for students to learn more about the business side of Instagram and data analytics, and an industry-application event where we are partnering with Act Belong Commit for students to experience working on a real marketing brief.

CMA wouldn’t be possible without the industry partners who continue to give us their time and expertise, the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin, the Curtin Guild, the committee of students who give their time to help their peers learn about the marketing industry, and of course, our members! We’re so grateful to everyone who plays a part in CMA!"
